On May 24, 2025, the second Chinese University Athletics Event Group Competition (Sprint, Hurdle, Jump), organized by the Chinese Student Sports Federation, successfully commenced at the Zunyi Olympic Sports Center Stadium in Guizhou Province. The event attracted over 600 participants from 77 teams across the country.
Our university delegation was led by Zhang Meizhen, Dean of the School of Sports and Health Engineering, and coached by Chen Xi, who guided six athletes to compete. On the field, our track and field athletes demonstrated remarkable determination and exceptional skill, striving with great tenacity.
In the women’s 400m event of the High-Level Group, Gao Ziyu from Class 2402 of the Sports Training program delivered an outstanding performance, claiming fifth place. In the men’s 400m event of the High-Level Group, Wu Guancheng from Class 2104 of the Engineering Management program showcased resilience and expertise, securing sixth place. In the men’s 110m hurdles of the High-Level Group, Liu Xuezhi from Class 2204 of the Engineering Management program overcame multiple obstacles to earn seventh place. Meanwhile, in the men’s triple jump of the High-Level Group, Li Jinfeng from Class 2204 of the Engineering Management program demonstrated agility and precision in his landing, achieving eighth place.
